GBCAudio
Terms of Service & End User License Agreement
This agreement governs your purchase and use of GBCAudio plugin licenses. By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using any GBCAudio software, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: July 19, 2026
License grant
Each license you purchase covers one named product, for the specific plugin format (VST3, AU, or CLAP) and platform (macOS or Windows) you download. Subject to these terms, GBCAudio grants you a non-exclusive license to install and use that product on any number of computers, without limit — provided every computer is one you personally use. You may not distribute copies to other people while retaining a copy yourself. This follows standard industry practice among independent plugin developers, several of whom grant unlimited personal-machine installs under the same condition.
Permitted use
You may use GBCAudio software for commercial purposes without restriction, including paid music production, mixing, mastering, sound design, or any other commercial work. No additional commercial license or fee is required beyond the license you purchased. A license for one product does not extend to other, unrelated GBCAudio products.
Transfers
You may transfer your license to a third party. GBCAudio's license files are verified entirely offline — there is no account system, server-side activation, or revocation mechanism built into the software — so transfers are currently handled manually, on an honor basis, as follows:
- You email info@gbcaudio.com requesting a transfer, providing the new owner's name and email address.
- GBCAudio issues a new license file to the new owner under their name.
- By requesting the transfer, you agree to delete all copies of your original license file and to stop using the software. Continuing to use the software after transferring it is a breach of this agreement, even though the software itself does not technically prevent it.
- This transfer service is currently provided free of charge.
GBCAudio reserves the right to introduce online license verification in the future. If we do, transfers may also be enforced technically, in addition to the contractual obligation above.
Restrictions
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying DSP or algorithm code of the software, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits this notwithstanding this restriction.
- You may not redistribute the installer or license files to third parties outside the transfer process described above — for example, uploading them to piracy sites or bundling them with unrelated products.
- You may not remove or alter any copyright or license notices embedded in the software.
Ownership
GBCAudio software is licensed, not sold. GBCAudio retains all intellectual property rights in the software. Your purchase gives you only a license to use the software under these terms, not ownership of it.
Warranty & liability
The software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GBCAudio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software. GBCAudio's total liability under this agreement is capped at the amount you actually paid for the license giving rise to the claim.
Termination
GBCAudio may terminate your license if you breach these terms — for example, by violating the transfer or restriction clauses above. If your license is terminated, you must stop using the software and delete all copies of it.
Refunds
As a general rule, all sales are final and non-refundable — we strongly encourage using the free trial before purchasing. Refund requests made within 72 hours of purchase may be granted at GBCAudio's discretion, minus the payment processing fee actually incurred. See the full policy on our Legal Disclosure page.
Governing law
GBCAudio is based in Kumamoto, Japan (see our Legal Disclosure page for our full registered address). This agreement is governed by the laws of Japan.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the software after a posted update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
