Causa 1.1.0
- New analyzer settings: Range, Detail, Decay and Slope. Hover over Analyzer at the bottom of the window and click a value to choose. They apply to every Causa instance and are remembered. RESET puts them back to the defaults.
- Hold stops the analyzer from falling, so you can read the highest levels.
- The Analyzer Range automation parameter is removed, because Range is now one of these settings. Sessions that used it open normally.
- This update is for macOS and Windows.

Spectra 1.2.0, SpectraVU 1.1.0 and SpectraVU+ 1.1.0
- The VU needle moves smoothly at every buffer size. In earlier versions it moved in steps with each audio buffer, and at large buffer sizes it sometimes paused.
- Motion blur now follows the path the needle took. This is the new Blur along path option. You can turn it and Smooth motion off in the VU settings.
- The default rise time is 276 ms, matched to a reference VU meter. You can set it in 1 ms steps. The IEC 60268-17 value is 300 ms.
- In Spectra and SpectraVU you can change the 0 VU reference on the meter itself. Drag the "0 = -18 dBFS" label up or down. Double-click it to go back to -18.
- Spectra uses less CPU while its window is open. This version also fixes the color of the dBu readout, the left/right direction of the goniometer and the horizontal bars in the 7.1.4 view.
- SpectraVU opens in a smaller window.
- On macOS the installer now always puts the standalone app in the Applications folder, even if an older copy is somewhere else on your Mac.
- These updates are for macOS and Windows.

SpectraVU+ 1.0.0: VU, sample peak and crest
SpectraVU+ is out at 1.0.0, for macOS and Windows. A VU meter with sample peak, crest and peak/RMS bars beside the needle, on the same measurement core as Spectra.
The 0 VU reference is set on the meter face, -30 to 0 dBFS. The peak side reads dBFS or dBu against your own calibration. In REAPER it draws itself inside the mixer strip and the track panel, metering with its own window closed.

Spectra 1.1.0: dBu, Crest and REAPER mixer display
- REAPER MCP / TCP support. Spectra can draw itself inside REAPER's mixer strip and track panel, next to the fader, metering whether or not its own window is open. You choose what each of the two shows, independently: VU, Sample Peak, True Peak, Crest, Momentary, Short-term or Integrated, in dBFS, dBu, dBTP or LUFS. The VU is drawn in your skin's colors, background included. Use the VST3 or the CLAP: REAPER's embedded UI has no Audio Unit version.
- dBu on the peak meters, with a user-definable offset. dBFS + offset = dBu, 0–30 dB, set to your room's calibration. The bars, the zones and the clip LED stay at 0 dBFS. Only the labels change.
- A Crest tile. Held sample peak minus RMS, in dB: how far the loudest moment sits above the average, measured the way the P and R bars on screen are.
- A new Hybrid Mixing view with VU, Sample Peak, Crest and a wide horizontal peak/RMS panel, for setting levels into outboard rather than hitting a delivery target. Peak and RMS bars can now be horizontal or vertical in any view.
- Small bug fixes.

SpectraVU in REAPER's mixer
- SpectraVU can now draw itself inside REAPER's mixer strip. Right-click the plug-in's name and tick “Show embedded UI in MCP”, or “in TCP” for the track panel in the arrange view.
- Use the VST3 or the CLAP for the MCP and TCP display. REAPER's embedded UI has no Audio Unit version.
- Fixed Windows CLAP.

Windows AAX is here
Every GBCAudio plug-in now installs as AAX on Windows. If you work in Pro Tools on Windows, you can install the same formats macOS has had all along: the installer carries VST3, CLAP and AAX, and you choose what you want on the way through.
AAX needs Pro Tools. If you do not use it, tick VST3 or CLAP as before and nothing else changes.
This is a Windows release. macOS is unchanged, and there is nothing you need to do.

A mono track gets one meter
SpectraVU 1.0.3 is available now for macOS and Windows.
- On a mono track the meter shows a single VU. It used to show a stereo pair whose right needle never moved.
- On mono the window opens at half its width, so there is no empty space where the second meter would be. A window you have resized yourself is left as you set it.

Oversampling Off at zero latency
V-Drive 1.0.1 is available now for macOS and Windows. OVERSAMPLING has an Off position, and it is now the default.
- Oversampling Off is the default. Press the lit button again to turn it off, and press any button to come back.
- Off reports zero latency. Every other mode still reports 65 samples.

Dark mode and mouse controls
- Adds a dark mode. Switch it in the About panel, and the choice is saved with the session.
- Double-click the readout to type a value.
- Cmd-click, or Ctrl-click on Windows, returns the gain to exactly 0 dB.
- Hold the same key and drag or scroll to move in steps of 0.1 dB.
- Fixes a plain double-click resetting the gain to 0 dB.
- No change to the audio path.

14-day trials
You can try V-Drive, Causa and Spectra for 14 days before you buy. The trial button is on each product page. It goes into the cart the same way a purchase does, and the installers come by email.
There is nothing to activate. Each plug-in counts its own 14 days, so you get no license file and you have nothing to cancel.
Pane and SpectraVU are free, so they have no trial.

The plug-in checks the license on your own machine. You do not need an account, and you do not need to be online once it is installed.
